The signed-in webpage importer is intended for public article URLs, blog posts, and direct PDF links that can be fetched without logging in. It is not designed for paywalled pages, private knowledge bases, local files, or pages that require a CAPTCHA or session cookie before the main content appears.

Can I convert any webpage to audio for free?

Free is a preview tier, not an unlimited webpage reader. A free account currently includes 1 saved document preview and 3 monthly preview minutes inside the app so you can verify extraction and narration before paying. Pro is $19.99/month for full-document audio, MP3 downloads, and the rest of the study toolkit.

Why do some webpages fail to import cleanly?

Accepted Answer

Webpages vary widely. Login walls, anti-bot checks, client-side rendering, infinite scroll, embedded documents, and cluttered markup can all block or degrade extraction. Even when a page imports, charts, interactive elements, comments, and navigation chrome may not belong in the audio result, so review the extracted document before generating long audio.

Do you store the webpage URL on the landing page?

Accepted Answer

The landing page keeps the draft URL only in the current browser session long enough to reopen the signed-in dashboard import form. The URL is not placed in the page query string, structured data, or client analytics events. Once the dashboard consumes the draft, the browser-session copy is removed.

What listening modes are available for webpage imports?

Accepted Answer

VoiceBrief supports Audiobook, Professor, and Summary modes inside the signed-in document workflow. Free is for the saved Audiobook preview. Pro is required when you want the full document audio, MP3 export, or the broader Professor and Summary workflow on an imported webpage.

Can I import private Notion pages, Google Docs, or local intranet URLs?

Accepted Answer

No. The webpage importer expects a public HTTP or HTTPS URL that the VoiceBrief fetcher can reach directly. Private docs, local network addresses, and internal tools are out of scope for this flow.
